Baroness Caroline Cox


‘If we ignore wrongs, we condone them’ 

This is a motto that Baroness Cox lives by. As a nurse, educator, humanitarian campaigner and life peer, she has spent her life giving the vulnerable and tyrannised a voice. She was created a Life Peer in 1982 for her contributions to education and has serviced as a Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords from 1985 to 2005. Lady Cox now sits in the Lords as a cross-bencher and is a frequent contributor to Lords debates on Sudan, India, Nigeria, Uganda and Burma.

Emmanuel was born into the life of a child solider on an unknown date in the early 1980s in the war-torn region of Southern Sudan. Through unbelievable struggles, Emmanuel managed to survive and go on to emerge as a renowned peace campaigner, actor and recording artist, achieving worldwide acclaim for his unique style and messages of peace and reconciliation born out of his personal experience.

James Stewart, OBE


James is Vice Chair and Head of Brexit, Industrial Strategy, Productivity and Growth responsible for Industrial Strategy, geo-politics and Brexit at KPMG. Prior to this he was Head of Global Infrastructure at KPMG. Before joining KPMG, James was based in the Treasury as the CEO at Infrastructure UK (IUK) and Managing Director of Project Finance and Global Head of Infrastructure and Environment at Hambros and Société Generale.

Nasrin Sharifi

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Nasrin is the founder of PFP, Director of EP Global Energy, Program Director of EPGE’s DREAM initiative. Prior to joining EP Global Energy she was founder of her own executive coaching business and a senior manager at Accenture. 

Trudie Roiz de Sa


Trudie is an Associate Director in KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare Consulting team. She is an experienced programme manager with a wide, transferrable skill set developed across multiple industries. Her areas of focus include: designing, delivering and leading programmes, excellent stakeholder management skills, and change management. She is passionate about working on programmes that make a difference to communities, the environment and wider society. She has been PFP’s Secretary since 2018.

Jeremy Barker


Jeremy is a Director in KPMG’s Infrastructure Practice. He was Chief Operating Officer Corporate Finance at KPMG (UK) for 5 years. Prior to joining KPMG Jeremy was a Project Finance Director at Lloyds TSB Bank Plc.

David Ruck


David is a senior partner at Gordon Dadds LLP, specializing in family and matrimonial law, divorce and family disputes, and the financial ramifications of relationship breakdowns. He also has expertise in private children work. David was previously at Speechly Bircham and Druces & Attlee.

Sandy Abrahams


Sandy is a founding Partner at Lux Nova Partners LLP. She advises on clean and low carbon energy development and is active in policy development and transformational models for local energy generation and supply. Her experience includes advising, and acting on, development of the first utility scale wind and solar farms in Jordan and working on two of the UK’s largest, low-carbon district heating schemes. Sandy was previously at Temple Bright LLP and Nabarro LLP.

Janine Edwards


Janine Edwards is Commercial Director for the Foundation for Social Improvement (FS), a charity dedicated to improving effectiveness, accountability and sustainability of small charities.  She leads FSI’s commercial and business development activities. Her team works with hundreds of charities to develop strategies and business plans, strengthen their governance, measure their impact (including social return on investment), facilitate partnerships and improve fundraising and earned income strategies. Janine is qualified to teach adults, has qualifications in Law and Psychology, and is an accredited Social Return on Investment Practitioner with Social Value UK.

Tidings is an experienced Banking & Finance professional, having spent over 20 years working for top global investment banks both in developing and developed markets. He is passionate about advancing and empowering underdeveloped communities to achieve a transferable and sustainable future for themselves.

Nuru Said

Chair of PFP Trust Kenya

Nuru is Managing Partner of HMS Advocates LLP in Kenya. She is experienced in privatization, securitization, acquisitions and Joint Ventures. She holds an LLB from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and is pursuing a Masters degree in Corporate Governance and Financial Services Law. She is a Member of Kenya’s Law Society, the Advocates Benevolent Association, and the bar of Advocates in the High Court.

Robert Agadala

Treasurer PFP Trust Kenya

Robert is a qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, working extensively with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. He is an Audit Partner in a Firm of Certified Public Accountants and has wide experience in Audit, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Tax Advisory Services, Compliance, VAT, Income Tax and Customs. Robert is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

Alibhai Hassan

Secretary of PFP Trust Kenya

Alibhai Hassan is a Partner at HMS Advocates in Kenya, with  wide experience in Civil and Commercial litigation. He also has significant experience in other aspects of litigation including Employment and Labour disputes, landlord and tenant, public procurement, intellectual property among many others.
